#1 Hello fellow gamers, I'm looking for a roleplaying game that's solidly set in the middle ages. I don't want any fantasy elements like magic or elves or dragons, just a gritty, medieval RPG with loads of historical detail on armor, weapons, daily life, castles, peasants, diseases, subinfeudation, knighthood, economy, tourneys, etc.

The medieval time period is arguably one of the best places for video games as a whole. You have a lot of freedom of what you can do, you can make it about the realistic or fantastical versions.

Anybody knows of a good realistic medieval RPG we could use as reference? I have been playing dnd 5e for at least 2 years now. But for this campaign, since I wanted pretty much no magic, dnd won't work because of its heavy reliance on magic.
