During the war, in 1943, the Dominicans decided to buy a vast land called "La Tourette", in Eveux-sur-Arbresle, 30 km from Lyon, in order to found a new convent of studies to train young Dominicans in their priory career. It was an agricultural field, developed on a gentle slope, with an old mansion and a wood.
