About Santa Fe Springs Drive-in Before the Santa Ana (I-5) Highway came through these parts in 1948, all you found in this area were dairy farms and orange groves. But a parcel of 18 rural acres was purchased on which to build the La Mirada Drive-in Movie Theater.

Built on 18 acres, with a 1000 car capacity, it was the largest drive-in theatre in America.
